There’s a host of reasons why your
weight might change while you’re living with cancer.
Alterations in your metabolic rate, impaired
gastrointestinal absorption, reduced appetite or
symptoms that interfere with eating. It's all the
more reason to keep eating the right quantities of
food with the right nutrients.
Until you start treatment, you won't
know what, if any, side effects you may have or how
you will feel.
People who maintain their weight
during treatment have more chance of a successful
outcome from their treatment, plus they’re less
likely to experience complications.
